We want Children at SERS to learn, to focus and make a difference
The great American poet Ralph Waldo Emerson’s famous quote reads:
“Sow a thought and you reap an action; sow an act and you reap a habit; sow a habit and you reap a character; sow a character and you reap a destiny.”
This quote succinctly describes our continuous effort to nurture our students so that they will grow into individuals with the strength of character.
The foundational education we provide here in SERS is what sets up our students for their future. Clearly not every student we meet here will be College bound but I submit that it should be our collective effort to provide the guidance and the motivation for them to be strongly considered for it. From the day they step
into our classrooms, I believe we owe it to our students to encourage a post – secondary education. In our new economy it literally could make a difference to whether they find a job or not. The economy of yesterday will not probably suit the economy of tomorrow and so on. As time changes, economy changes too! So we believe in upgrading our school every moment. As the years go by, I have a deep appreciation for the dedication and hard work required to be a successful mentor. I praise and applaud your efforts whereby you have sincerely sacrificed for the cause of the next generation. As we head to the new school year I want to thank you and also encourage and remind you how important you are to the students and the Stonites community. We aim to encourage our students to be high achievers in all round development. As such Stonites are encouraged to be positive thinkers and develop their critical thinking skills. Through the concerted efforts of our Staff, Parents, Guardians, Alumni & Well Wishers, we would like to gear up Stonites in being “Positive and Inquisitive”.
In driving our school’s instructional programme, we are guided by the belief that every pupil has the potential to be developed and that all pupils can learn and succeed.
“This moment is yours and yours alone! Take charge, seize this moment and allow it to propel you to the higher levels of an empowered life. Allow upon this fertile moment to be planted the seeds of your happiness and success.”
Every parent strives hard to give his ward the best education and this school gives the perfect platform, where we teach them to respect all cultures, languages and religions.
The objective of this school i.e. to impart academic training of highest quality, enable students to achieve requisite physical and endurance standards along with team spirit.
In the end I would like to say that teachers have an influencing role in the life of every student. What we learn from our teachers remains with us, throughout our lives. However, very often, we fail to show our appreciation. Teachers do need encouragement and support from the community to feel that their efforts are being recognized.
I look forward to work with everyone as a team to bring out the best of our child.

Popular Education For Your Child
As a result of some very uncertain series of events, I had to join SERS Public School during mid-2012, when I was a student of 9th standard. The instant love and respect I received from every single person from this school is something I can never forget. I started believing in myself and had a wonderful first year and the second also with some of the very great fellows from teaching and non-teaching staff. After securing CGPA 10 in CBSE 10th standard AISSE from SERS Public school in 2013, I joined Gauhati Commerce College for my Higher secondary. In 2015 I passed my Higher Secondary securing All Assam 8th rank in Commerce stream, besides I also received highest mark in MIL(Assamese) from our college. Then I took admission in the Department of Commerce, Tezpur University to study Integrated M.com. In 2018 I successfully passed B. Com honors module of the Integrated M. Com program with Accounting and Taxation Specialisation. I received the Gold medal sponsored by Institute of Company Secretaries of India for securing highest CGPA in B. Com honors module offered by Department of Commerce, Tezpur University. I exercised the lateral exit option from Integrated M. Com to join the University of Delhi for my post-graduation in August,2018. I completed my Masters of Commerce with specialising in Finance and International Business from Deshbandhu College, University of Delhi in 2020. During my post-graduation, I successfully authored and presented a research paper in a national seminar organized by Department of Commerce, Gauhati University. With a noble objective of learning and contributing more to the field of finance and management, I decided to join a full time Ph.D program in 2020, and got admitted to Vinod Gupta School of Management, Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. Currently I am pursuing my Ph.D in “Financial Markets” from VGSOM, IIT Kharagpur.
In 2002, I commenced my school life after enrolling in class KG-I in SERS Public School. Since then I spent 12 years of my school life in this institute and I cherish every moment of it. It was a very precious and golden phase of my life. I have seen the school grow in size as well as reputation in front of my eyes. The school has moulded my personality and clarified my vision for the future. The love and support from the teaching and non-teaching staff of the school was immense. I passed the CBSE 10th standard exam in 2014 securing CGPA 10. Then I took admission in Gurukul Grammar Senior Secondary School, Guwahati and passed my CBSE 12th standard exam in 2016. I completed my Graduation with Physics as the core subject from Rangia College, Rangia in 2019. Presently, I’m pursuing M.Sc in Radiological Physics from Gauhati University in collaboration with Dr. B Borooah Cancer Institute, Guwahati.
It all started when I joined SERS Public School in 2002. Starting from Kindergarten to Class 10,those 12 years taught me to dream , to believe in myself and never stop trying. I had the best moments there with amazing friends and great teachers to whom I am forever thankful. After securing CGPA 10 in CBSE 10th standard AISSE from SERS Public School I joined Kendriya Vidyalaya Rangia from where I passed 12th in 2016. With a desire to become a doctor and contribute to well being of the society I prepared for medical entrance examination ( NEET). First attempt wasn’t enough, but with some hardwork ,God willing I cleared the NEET and got admission in MBBS in Assam Medical College and Hospital, Dibrugarh in 2018. At present I am studying in 6th semester of MBBS and hopefully after 2 years , I will clear MBBS final exams and join internship. After that I aim to pursue postgraduate degree in a speciality subject and even further studies if possible and become a good doctor.
Entering inside the huge gate as a tiny kid holding the hands of her parents, with unfamiliar faces and strangers all around. And from that day SERS became a familiar place or rather a part of my life. Now when I look back across the years, so many pictures of some wonderful events flashes on the screen of my memory and I could truly say the discipline and values which my alma mater imparted , moulded me the way I am today. I attended SERS Public School right from the beginning of my study life so far.The uniqueness of this school lies in the teacher-attitude towards students which is a constant support system and the motivation to be the best version of oneself. After securing 10 CGPA in CBSE Class 10 board examination (AISSE) 2016, I joined Kendriya Vidyalaya Rangia for my higher secondary education. In 2018, I passed my CBSE Class 12 board examination (AISSCE) securing 92.2 percentage in Science stream . Currently I am pursuing my B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from Assam Engineering College, Jalukbari. I am thankful to SERS for providing the base which a student needs at an early age for deciding his/her career preferences.
From Kindergarten to junior high school, my journey in SERS Public School made me realize my dreams, the importance of hard work and what I want to be in my future. Because of the teachers who believed in me, I learned that I was capable of more than I thought. School is a place where one gains social skills, empathy and realizes ones worth. The school event always encourages us to explore new things and fuel the fire within us to explore new things in every aspect of life. Teaching and non-teaching staff have always been supportive throughout my school days. I secured 10 CGPA in CBSE 10th standard AISSE from SERS Public school in 2016. Then I started my high school journey in KENDRIYA VIDYALAYA, Rangia, and passed out in 2018. I took a drop year to take coaching for JEE and fortunately, I was able to crack JEE in 2019 and joined the National Institute of Technology, Silchar. Currently, I am pursuing my B.Tech degree in Computer Science and Engineering. Soon I will be doing a Summer Internship as a Front-end Web Developer and am also participating in an open-source platform, GSSOC’21.
“It’s not about the destination, but the journey itself” as somebody rightly said.. From Nursery to 10th, if I look back at those 13 years, I feel I really owe everything to this school. For the person I am, for the lessons I learnt (not just those taught in the classroom but outside too), I owe this school everything. The most important thing a school can gift a child is a DREAM and some encouragement towards accomplishing that. And the people part of this school certainly knows how to give a child wings..
Having said that, after passing out from this school, I did my +2 from Cotton University. Now I am pursuing Btech. from NIT Silchar.
Like I said, its the journey that matters most. It doesn’t matter wherever I am in my life. The foundation laid by this school throughout those 13 years will always be my greatest treasure.
